Teaching

Kat Richter has over 20 years of experience in dance education, from preschool to higher ed. She is currently on faculty at Stockton University, where she teaches a variety of technique and dance studies courses, and is available for residencies, workshops, and master classes:
  • Tap technique, improvisation, and choreography

  • Dance criticism

COVID-19 Update: Due to social distancing needs, Kat is now accepting a limited number of private students (age 9 and up) for remote instruction in rhythm tap. Lessons are conducted through Zoom and run 45 minutes in length at the cost of $50 per session. The first session will include a virtual assessment of the student's at-home dance space and instructions for setting up a safe and percussive-dance friendly floor on which to practice.

Current availability includes Wednesday and alternating Thursday evenings. Please email KatRichter@gmail.com to request further information and to schedule a session.
