Kat Richter is Artistic Director of The Lady Hoofers, Philadelphia's only all-female rhythm tap company. Drawing inspiration from both historical and anthropological research, her choreography has been performed at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, City Hall, the Kimmel Center, Oxford University, Goucher College and the Bryn Mawr School for Girls. She holds an MA in Dance Anthropology from Roehampton University and a BA in Dance and History from Goucher College. Kat teaches rhythm tap, dance history, and dance and cultural studies throughout the greater Philadelphia region and is available for both master classes and guest choreography.
